$0.00 Summary: I have read most of the other reviews, and found, to my surprise, that a lot of other people have had a problem with this model. I have had this DVD player since product introduction in 2000. I have only had one problem with it. Someone left the DVD tray in the open posistion overnight, and it would not shut off. Simply unplugging the the unit for 30 seconds solved this problem. I have never had a need to call RCA or contact them via the web.
One thing to note though, is this unit does get hot. By simply keeping it in a ventilated area, and stacking no other electronic equipment on top of it, you should encounter no problems at all. This I find to be the case with a lot of modern electronic devices. Heat is the enemy! Keep your equipment in ventilated area's and you should not ever have a problem with them. Strengths: Many features. A child could use this product with no problems. Weaknesses: The main gripe I have about this product is that it will not accept CD-R's or CD-RW's. I like to make compilations of my cd's, and since it is connected to my surround sound system, it would be nice to be able to listen to them on it.
Not much of a weakness, more of an annoyance really.
